Day 1 : Chobe River Front
The Chobe River forms the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park which is renowned for its diverse and abundant game viewing opportunities. This section of the park is best known for its dense concentration of wildlife, including elephant and hippo populations, but the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them – a visit to the Chobe River Front guarantees close encounters with an array of African wildlife. Visitors can look forward to a range of exciting activities such as 4WD along the banks; motorboat cruises; and rare birdlife spotting. For a unique, luxury safari experience, hire a houseboat.
Day 2: Chobe Morning Safari Game Drive
Early to rise and early to bed Game viewing is at its best around dawn and dusk. On a typical day, the first game vehicle leaves camp before the sun is up and the second drive heads out into the wilds in the late afternoon. Use the downtime in between drives to relax in the pool, or have a nap before heading out again. The blazing orange and red beauty of an African sunrise or sunset is something one never forgets.
The rangers agree – no two drives are ever the same. Each outing is ripe with potential. Sometimes it will be a pack of African wild dogs trotting on the hunt and at others, it may be a lioness drinking at a waterhole with her cubs. It’s nature’s version of the lotto.
Get into the animal’s environment and see how they live.
The highly trained guides and hosts will open your eyes and your mind.
Uncover the fine balance between animals, their environment and conservation.
Witness the drama and majesty of predators and prey.
Day 3: Khwai Conservancy
Okavango Delta
Located between the Chobe National Park and the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana, the 200 000-hectare Khwai Conservancy is an enthralling place of wild landscapes and abundant wildlife. The plentiful Khwai River running through the park and dense Mopani forests in the interior provide the perfect home for numerous animals, and the incredible scenes of animals drinking from the river allow for superb photography opportunities. Visitors can look forward to seeing large elephant herds, and spotting lions, leopards and hyenas quite easily. Other species include wild dog, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, leopard, hyenas, hippos, Kudu, Tsessebe, and reasonably rare Roan and Sable. Hiking, game drives, guided walks, spa treatments, and open-air camping are just some of the activities on offer.
Day 4: Makoro Experience
Your experienced Machaba Safaris guide will navigate the channels while you relax and soak up the sights and sounds. From wallowing elephants to small winged water creatures, life on the water is an aquatic world of its own.
Soak up nature at a slower pace Glide across mirrors of water Very little beats the tranquillity of gliding through narrow water channels in the company of smaller amphibians like reed frogs and dragonflies that you would usually miss out on.
Day 1 - 2 : Ngoma Safari Lodge
Located in the Chobe Forest Reserve just 3km from the Chobe National Park (a region renowned for its outstanding wildlife, in particular the famous Chobe Elephants, and home to more than 75 mammal and 450 bird species), Ngoma Safari Lodge commands awe-inspiring views over the Chobe River and floodplains.
The lodge’s central area includes a well-appointed sitting room, dining room and bar area as well as a plunge pool. Each private river-facing suite offers quiet refuge, and is one of only eight luxuriously styled and spacious lodges, each complete with bath, indoor and outdoor showers and a private outdoor living area with a “refresh and relax pool”.
Due to it’s location in the Chobe Forest Reserve, the lodge can offer night drives. Activities include a full-day safari comprising a drive in the Chobe National Park, a cruise and a picnic lunch, day or night drives, walks and birding. Visits to the local village may also be arranged.
Ngoma Safari Lodge, developed with the Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust, is committed to making a sustainable difference to the local communities and their environment.

Day 3 - 4: Little Machaba, Khwai Conservancy
Little Machaba is situated in the game rich Khwai area. The Khwai Concession is a 180 000 hectare reserve situated in the north eastern Okavango adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve.
Little Machaba is situated on the same island as Machaba Main Camp, but is run separately from Machaba Main Camp. The camp is built in the classic 1950’s style, with luxury safari tents, en-suite bathrooms and living areas, not forgetting the romantic outdoor showers. All the tents are situated on decks and the pathways to the tents meander between the large riverine trees. The Main dining and bar area are also on wooden decks overlooking a large floodplain.
