Day 1 : Wild Horizons Zambezi Royal Luxury Sunset Cruise

During the two hour guided luxury Sunset cruise, departing daily from the Wild Horizons Jetty Site, guests can look forward to 5-star service on board, consisting of imported wines and spirits, gourmet hot & cold canapés. A variety of game is consistently spotted, such as elephant, hippo, crocodiles, as well as a vast plethora of bird species. The Zambezi Royal is the optimum way to view the beautiful stunning scenery and surrounds of the upper Zambezi River. The perfect activity for the whole family and a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Zambezi after a busy day in Victoria Falls.

Chobe Safari Lodge Game Drive offers guests the opportunity to view abundant species of animal life including elephants up close. There is also the possibility of encountering a large predator. The game drives have three departure times during the time, which all have a duration of approximately three hours. Alternative arrangements can be made to book either a half or full day drive with a picnic lunch.

Wild horizons Look out cafe - over looking the zambezi river

Exploring the vast genuine wilderness of the Zambezi National Park, these drives set off either in the early morning or mid-afternoon. Using an open four-wheel drive vehicle, the game drive allows the guests to discover many interpretations of the bush and all its inhabitants, related to them by the suitable trained and qualified guides. This is an uncontrived bush experience, covering a genuinely wild, unfenced wilderness area.
Please note that the Zambezi National Park is only a five minute drive from Victoria Falls town, so there are no lengthy transfers involved.
The morning safari sets off at 0600hrs and a light breakfast, tea/coffee and mineral waters are served. 
Game drives last between three and four hours in duration.

Zambezi National Park

Stretching out from the banks of the spectacular Zambezi River, the Zambezi National Park is best-known for its natural beauty, abundant game and world-renowned river. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including the famous Big Five as well as herds of sable antelope, eland, zebra, giraffe, kudu and over 400 bird species. A large floodplain characterises the landscape which is snaked by numerous rivers and dotted with acacia and miombo woodlands. Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities such as: excellent wildlife viewing, game drives, bird watching, kayaking safaris, and guided bush walks.

Water-based activities are conducted by experienced professional guides who will expertly navigate guests through the many meandering, reed-lined waterways. Roam the vast expanses of water from the comfort of a modern motorboat or explore the intricacies of the Okavango Delta the quiet old-fashioned way, in the traditional mokoro (dugout canoe).

For those wanting to get a little closer to nature, guided bush walks are conducted on a number of the nearby islands, offering an opportunity to track some of the larger land-based species that inhabit this water wilderness. Birding opportunities are outstanding and anglers may put their skill against bream and tiger fish.  Camp Okavango is a water-based camp and game-drive activities, using safari vehicles, are not possible.

Guest spending three nights or more at Camp Okavango can enjoy a night on the new Camp Okavango sleep out deck. The open deck offers you the chance to sleep out under the stars and experience the vastness of the Okavango Delta. The sleep out deck includes a comfortable bed (mosquito net included), bathroom and all the amenities you need for a comfortable night out.

Flying Fox Experience

Imagine taking a running jump into thin air over the chasm, soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi below. The gorge at this point is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is a great appetizer before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing.

The Minimum age  is 2 years old. This activity is totally safe for children of all ages. Smaller children are harnessed with their parent/guardian and can enjoy high wire.

Wild Horizons Malachite Dinner Cruise

As the sun begins its descent, guests step on board the Wild Horizons Malachite Dinner Cruise for an exceptional evening on the Zambezi River. Like the exquisite bird after which it was named, ‘Malachite’ is one of the Zambezi River’s crowning gems. Powered by two 60HP four stroke marine motors, this beautifully crafted double deck ‘floating restaurants’ silently slices across the surface of the river.

On the upper deck, guests are offered a glass of sparkling wine to sip as they settle into the plush cushioned furniture and relax before the journey along the Zambezi River begins; all the while looking out for the various birdlife and animals there are to be seen, and then watching as one of Africa’s famous sunsets erupts in the sky. A barman and three intuitive waiters anticipate guests’ needs, serving a selection of lively cocktails and imported premium spirits throughout their journey.
After the sun has sunk below the river line, dinner is served on the lower deck of the vessel exemplifying the hallmarks of exquisite cuisine prepared on board by two chefs. The rich aroma of locally sourced, fresh ingredients wafts around diners as the dishes are plated.

A captain completes the crew and their combined experience promises an insightful and memorable evening.

Day 1 - 5 : Old Drift Lodge

Counter-balancing the wilderness are restful, air conditioned, en-suite lodgings. Graceful high arches, quarry tiled floors and barrel vaulted ceilings create an atmosphere of cool tranquillity.
Other facilities include a large swimming pool with terrace, a riverside boma area, a fully equipped conference room, a stylish bar with an outside terrace and an expansive deck with magnificent views over the Chobe River. Meals are catered for at the terrace restaurant overlooking the Chobe River.
